I'm a night writer
You can be one too

I've got a plan that works for me
It's without company
I type it down, I tear it up
I have another coffee
And I'm never giving up

I've got a girl
She's nice to me
But I can't tell her things
So I compose so thoughtfully
A page of rhythmed stanzas
Of love philosophy

I hear some words come to my head
My pencil's full of lead
I sign them in a pocket book
And bind them with a promise
